About VILIUS

A family workshop in Lithuania making European architecture in ceramic.

The VILIUS workshop was founded in 1991. Since 1994 its main work has been ceramic houses and architectural miniatures based on recognisable European buildings.

Over three decades more than 1500 models have been created: Alsatian and Franconian half-timbering, Hessian towns, North Sea lighthouses, churches and town halls.

We work as a small team. The same person often cuts the walls, assembles the house and paints it — from beginning to end.

VILIUS at the Christmas market in Osaka

VILIUS took part in the Christmas market in Osaka. The ceramic houses were presented in a live display where visitors could see a broad selection of models and architectural styles together in one place.

VILIUS owner Vilius Jodokas worked at the stand himself, meeting visitors and presenting the models handmade in Lithuania. These encounters made it possible to discover the work not only through a catalogue, but through a direct connection with the person behind it.

Long-standing relationships at Ambiente

For around fifteen consecutive years, VILIUS exhibited at Ambiente in Frankfurt. It was not only a place to present new models, but an annual meeting with long-standing clients.

There we stayed in touch, exchanged experience, listened to partners and formed new connections. The fair helped the collection grow together with the people who selected VILIUS houses for their shops and customers.
